Julie Stephens Designs was born out of my love for crafting and making beautiful things.  Since I was a child, I’ve loved to draw, paint, sew and create.

While pursuing my career in Public Relations, I discovered the art of beadwork, which led me to the wonderful world of jewellery-making.  My jewellery has evolved after quite a few years of practice and learning various jewellery-related techniques that interested me.  Over the past few years, I’ve attended many workshops and short courses in beadwork, wirework, metalsmithing and lost wax casting.  When I discovered precious metal clay, a sustainable, recycled material, I had found my thing!

Thanks to the New York Institute of Art & Design, I completed a Jewellery Design course that helped to bring all of these different skills and ideas into my work.

Jane Finch Jewellery

Hello, my name is Steph and I'm the gal behind Jane Finch
I design and handcraft each and every piece from my home-studio in Melbourne

I aim to mindfully design and create jewellery that will be with you always. I create pieces that honour the precious moments in your life which, eventually, will be passed along

The metals and stones I work with are recycled, reclaimed or ethically sourced. I craft my designs in small batches for markets and events, otherwise everything is made to order.

Farbe Design offers a unique range of individually sculpted jewellery items. With an emphasis on creative experimentation, small object making and colour manipulation, our range is dynamic and ever evolving.

We adopt a painterly approach to colour and enjoy creating individual pieces of wearable art. Farbe Design is the love child of designer and jewellery maker Rosemarie Gassner, who works from her home in the bushy outer suburbs of Warrandyte.

Her work has been enjoyed by Melbourne’s creative fashion lovers for two decades and continues to thrive in Design Markets, select retail outlets, galleries and now in our online store.

In 2017 Carolyn Tucker joined Farbe Design, as a jewellery maker and designer, bringing her love of colour and form to the team. She also works from her studio in Warrandyte.

We thrive on innovation and love working with the dynamic nature of resin, combining it with metals such as brass and silver in our ranges of handcrafted jewellery including earrings, necklaces, rings and bracelets.

Coral Covey Jewellery

Coral Covey was founded and established in 2014 in Munich by Australian jewellery designer Laura Deakin.

In November 2017, after living and working in Munich for over 13 years, Laura re-located back to her hometown of Melbourne.

The name, Coral Covey, is the unity of Laura’s two grandmothers, Coral McKissick and Gladys Covey, who were both important influences in the designer’s life, and taught her the importance of caring for her community and environment.

Coral Covey is a business committed to sustainable jewellery practices. It is Laura’s goal to continue making a positive environmental difference within her field of bespoke art.

Celestial Closet

Celestial Closet creates magical wearables from laser cut acrylic – inspired by fantasy, nature and adventure. Make everyday feel a little bit more magical with wearable art pieces by Celestial Closet.

Owner and magic maker Christine has a background in digital design and theatrical costume, and runs Celestial Closet part-time, working full time as an IT professional. She has a selection of wearables available in-person at the in.cube8r gallery in Fitzroy, and can sometimes be found at Fitzroy’s Rose Street Artists’ Market, and Oz Comic-Con Melbourne.

Christine loves the process of designing objects for laser cutting as it is a perfect blend of art and technology. All Celestial Closet pieces are designed, laser cut, hand painted and produced in-house, with the help of her laser cutter, Zaphod Beamobox.

In March 2021, the “Metamorphia Recycled” range was launched – utilising the acrylic offcuts and scraps from the Celestial Closet wearables, and from other jewellery makers to create unique, colourful heat pressed, recycled material sheets.
